BioFirst off, I am a big Star Trek fan, primarily TNG era. Although I do watch and enjoy the other series' as well. The next thing is that I am an even bigger fan of the Romulans. I have always identified myself with them in more then one way, and they stand for so much more then most people know and understand. They value honor, loyalty and family above all else, and will die protecting for anything they fiercely believe in.
They may be a clandestine and cunning race, but they are so much more than that. Like them, I value loyalty, honor and my family and friends. I am passionate about my beliefs, and I usually always say what I feel if the situation calls for it; sometimes even when it does not.
I admit that I need time to be able to trust someone fully, due to a hard past. But once I do trust you and call you friend; it is usually for life, and I am loyal to a fault.
I also am an avid writer, and currently have several fan fictions, one of which is over 400 pages at last count. All are based around my character, Ael (not to be confused with the Ael of the Rihannsu series by Diane Duane) and her life as she begins it on Romulus at age 16. Long story short, she 'defects' to Romulus at that age, as she simply feels she is not on the right planet, or even in the right body.
Human by birth, Romulan by choice.
